How to Evolve Doublade

Unlike many Pokémon that evolve through leveling up, Doublade has a special evolution method. To evolve your Doublade, you need to use a specific evolutionary item on it: the Dusk Stone. This process is immediate and does not depend on the Pokémon's level, friendship, or the time of day.

Once you have a Dusk Stone in your bag, simply select it and use it on the Doublade in your party. The evolution sequence into Aegislash will begin right away. Be aware that this is a one-way process, so make sure you're ready to say goodbye to your Doublade before using the stone!

The location of Dusk Stones varies from game to game. They are often found in dark, mysterious places like caves or can be rewards for completing certain tasks. For example, in Pokémon Sword and Shield, you can find one at the Lake of Outrage or have a chance to get one from the Digging Duo. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they can be found as random item drops in certain areas or as a reward from the Porto Marinada auction.

Because it's a consumable item, it's wise to plan when to use it. Evolving Doublade early gives you access to Aegislash's power sooner, but Doublade learns some moves at earlier levels than Aegislash does, so you might want to check its moveset before committing to the evolution.
