How to Evolve Lampent

To evolve Lampent into Chandelure, you must use a Dusk Stone on it from your bag. There is no level requirement, trading mechanic, or time-of-day condition. Select the Dusk Stone, apply it directly to Lampent in your party, and the evolution will trigger immediately.

Evolving Lampent relies entirely on a specific evolutionary item, bypassing traditional experience grinding. This makes it a highly efficient mid-game upgrade for story playthroughs.

2. Open your satchel and navigate to the Items pocket.
3. Select the Dusk Stone and choose "Use".
4. Select Lampent in your party to trigger the evolution sequence.

Since Legends Z-A heavily emphasizes city restoration, search alleyways for hidden items if you prefer to save your in-game currency rather than purchasing the stone outright.

Paldea offers several guaranteed locations to find the required item without relying on RNG. You can secure your evolution well before tackling the late-game challenges.

1. Travel to Montenevera. Look directly behind the Gym building to find a guaranteed Dusk Stone resting on the ground.
2. Alternatively, check the auction house in Porto Marinada, where the stone frequently appears as a biddable item.
3. Open your bag, find the Dusk Stone in the Other Items pocket, and use it on Lampent.

You can also find another guaranteed stone in Area Zero behind a large boulder near Research Station No. 1. Once these static spawns are exhausted, the Porto Marinada auction is your only repeatable source.
