How to Evolve Larvitar

To evolve Larvitar into Pupitar, you must raise it to level 30. Pupitar then evolves into Tyranitar at level 55. This evolution line does not require any evolutionary stones, trading, or specific times of day. You simply need to accumulate enough Experience Points through battles or EXP Candies.

Evolving Larvitar follows a strictly level-based progression system. You do not need to hunt for evolution stones, trade with other players, or wait for a specific time of day.

4. When Larvitar hits level 30, navigate to your satchel, select the flashing Poké Ball icon next to Pupitar, and manually trigger the evolution.

Since Tyranitar is capable of Mega Evolution, acquiring one early in Legends: Z-A is highly recommended for tackling late-game boss encounters. Secure the Tyranitarite mega stone to maximize its utility once fully evolved.
