How to Evolve Pancham

Pancham, the Playful Pokémon, is a pure Fighting-type with a tough attitude but a hidden potential for greatness. To unlock it, you'll need to evolve it into the intimidating Pangoro, a dual-type Fighting/Dark Pokémon. This evolution process, introduced in Generation VI, is one of the more unique methods in the Pokémon world.

The evolution has two specific requirements that must be met simultaneously:

1. Level Requirement: Pancham must reach at least level 32.
2. Party Requirement: You must have a Pokémon with the Dark typing in your party of six.

When Pancham levels up to 32 (or any level beyond that) and the party condition is met, the evolution sequence will begin. It seems Pancham needs a bad influence to bring out its darker side!

Finding a Dark-type Pokémon to accompany your Pancham is the key to its evolution. Fortunately, you don't need a specific or high-level Dark-type; any Pokémon that has Dark as one of its types will work. The Dark-type Pokémon can even be fainted; it just needs to be in a slot in your party.

Here are some examples of easy-to-find Dark-types in games where Pancham is available:

• Pokémon X & Y: Inkay (Dark/Psychic) can be found on Route 8. Scraggy (Dark/Fighting) is also available in hordes on Route 5.
• Pokémon Sword & Shield: Nickit (Dark) is a common encounter on Routes 1 and 2. Impidimp (Dark/Fairy) can be found in Glimwood Tangle.
• Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Maschiff (Dark) is available in many areas of the Paldea region, particularly in the South and West Provinces.

Simply catch one of these Pokémon, add it to your party alongside Pancham, and then level up Pancham using battles, Exp. Candy, or a Rare Candy. Once it dings level 32 or higher, you'll get to witness its transformation into the powerful Pangoro.
