How to Evolve Stunky

Evolve Stunky by raising it to Level 34. There are no special items, friendship requirements, or time-of-day restrictions. In modern titles like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, ensure Stunky levels up through a standard battle or by consuming EXP Candies, as Let's Go auto-battles will not trigger the evolution screen.

Before pushing Stunky to level 34, consider its immense value in the Little Cup (LC) format. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer the fastest routes to level 34, provided you strictly avoid the Let's Go auto-battle mechanic for the final level-up. The most efficient method involves targeted grinding in the northern regions.

1. Travel to North Province (Area Three) near the Fairy Team Star Base.
2. Consume a sandwich granting Normal Encounter Power to spawn large clusters of wild Chansey.
3. Engage Chansey in traditional, turn-based battles. Use physical attacks like Crunch or Poison Jab to bypass their massive special defense.
4. Alternatively, complete 3-star or 4-star Tera Raids to stockpile EXP Candy M and EXP Candy L.
5. Feed the candies directly to Stunky via the bag menu to instantly hit the level 34 threshold.

Never use the R button to send Stunky out for auto-battles when it is at level 33. Auto-battles grant experience but hard-lock the evolution trigger. If Stunky hits level 34 via auto-battle, you must level it up again in a standard battle or with a candy.

Pokémon GO replaces traditional level requirements with a flat currency system. You need exactly 50 Stunky Candy to trigger the evolution into Skuntank. Efficient resource management speeds up this process significantly.

1. Use Pinap Berries or Silver Pinap Berries during every wild Stunky encounter to double the base catch candy yield from 3 to 6.
