How to Evolve Seadra

To evolve Seadra into Kingdra, you must trade it to another player while it holds a Dragon Scale. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, simply apply the Dragon Scale directly from your satchel. For Pokémon GO, you need 100 Horsea Candy and one Dragon Scale.

2. Give the Dragon Scale to Seadra to hold.

4. Trade the Seadra. The evolution animation will trigger on your friend's screen immediately after the trade completes.
5. Have your friend trade the newly evolved Kingdra back to you.

Always verify your trade partner is trustworthy before sending a Pokémon holding a rare evolution item.

Niantic's mobile title uses a resource-based system rather than trading. You will need to grind catches and spin stops.

1. Accumulate 100 Horsea Candy by catching, transferring, or walking with Horsea or Seadra as your buddy.
