How to Evolve Tynamo

Tynamo, the EleFish Pokémon, is a pure Electric-type introduced in Generation V. Its evolution journey begins with a traditional level-up process. To evolve Tynamo into Eelektrik, you simply need to raise it to Level 39 through battling or using items like Rare Candy. There are no special conditions such as location, time of day, or held items required for this first evolution.

Upon evolving, Eelektrik is a significant step up in power from Tynamo. It maintains the pure Electric typing and, most importantly, the signature Levitate ability. This ability is the defining feature of the entire line, making it completely immune to Ground-type attacks, which are normally super-effective against Electric-types.

The final evolution into the formidable Eelektross requires an evolutionary item. Eelektrik does not evolve further by leveling up. To trigger its final transformation, you must use a Thunder Stone on your Eelektrik.

This evolution can be performed at any level after Tynamo has become Eelektrik, so there's no need to wait to reach a certain level. Thunder Stones can be found in various ways depending on the game you're playing; they are often found as hidden items in the wild, purchased in specific department stores, or obtained as rewards. Once you use the stone, your Eelektrik will evolve into Eelektross, a powerful attacker that uniquely boasts no type weaknesses thanks to its typing combined with the Levitate ability.
